Non-smoking building. Due to the irritation and known health risks of exposure to second-hand smoke, increased risk of fire and increased maintenance, cleaning and redecorating costs, all forms of smoking and vaping shall be prohibited. The term "smoking" means inhaling, exhaling, breathing, carrying or otherwise have control over any lighted cigar, cigarette, any other tobacco product, any other cannabis product The term "vaping" means inhaling, exhaling, breathing, carrying or otherwise have control over any device used to simulate the act of smoking a tobacco product or cannabis product and that emits an aerosol that is intended to be inhaled, including electronic cigarette, electronic cigar, electronic pipe or any other device that is designated to be a vaping product in any manner or in any form. Smoking and vaping is prohibited inside the building, including private units and on the residential property. Tenant agrees and acknowledges that the premises to be occupied by tenant and members of tenant's household have been designated as non-smoking. Tenant, members of tenant's household, visitors, guests and business invitees shall not smoke or vape anywhere in the unit rented by tenant, or the building where the tenant's dwelling is located or in any of the common areas or adjoining grounds of such building or other parts of the rental community. Charges will be applied for damages beyond reasonable wear-and tear, whether the damage is from smoking or any other means. Damages may include but are not limited to smoke damage, smell, stains, burns, residue, etc. If you are caught violating the smoking policy there will be a $200.00 charge for every occurance and room.
